Miyako Japanese Grill, Houston

Miyako is an establishment which I feel prides itself on a certain authenticity, which is refreshing. Dining is possible at tables, or Japanese restaurant Houston style. It is rather humerous that the floors in one area have recesses so that you dont have to actually sit cross legged, which would be inappropriate for all sorts of people (women with skirts, fat people, etc). Still the service is very nice, and for every 10 dollars you spend you get 1 miyako buck which can be used later. Very good selection but none of the amazing house creations offered at Taiko. Well priced lunch offers from 7-12 dollars, and good sushi. Visit Houston Japanese Restaurants Guide for more restaurant reviews.
